What do you like to do for fun outside the office?
I enjoy cooking different foods with my wife. We cook a variety of different cuisines. Mediterranean, Italian, and Spanish tend to be our favorites. Still, sometimes its hard to beat smoking good slab of barbeque ribs.
What do you love about your job?
I simply love to meet and treat patients. Getting to know them and their spouses children on a personal level is so gratifying to me.
What’s on your bucket list?
Traveling to Jerusalem with my family.
Something interesting patients normally don’t know about you?
Most of my patients who really know me would be the first to tell you that I am an open book. What you see is what you get. I love to talk Alabama football smack. Going to eat with those in my men’s group and their wives, discussing yesterday, today and tomorrow is our favorite topics. We rarely solve any problems, but we enjoy the effort.
Favorite Holiday and Why?
Without a doubt, Christmas is my favorite holiday. These days just having all our children home to celebrate is my most precious gift. I am probably the biggest kid of all.
What question do people ask most about you?
How have you and your wife seemed to manage a household of seven? We simply answer” with a lot of prayer”.
What are you most passionate about in life?
My faith is my most passionate aspect of my life. I learned that the hard way. I love the saying, “if you want to hear God laugh, tell Him your plans.”
What is your favorite dental procedure and why?
I absolutely love cosmetic dentistry. With today’s materials as dentists we can literally change a persons’ outlook of themselves and life. To witness that transformation is such a joy. I can also say that helping someone in pain and alleviating their discomfort is what we should be striving for. Compassion is huge to me.
